0:57.6	about a new book out. It's called The Book of Seances, a guide to divination and speaking to
1:03.8	spirits, and with us we have the author. Claire Goodchild is an award-winning artist, photographer,
1:10.0	designer, and writer from Toronto, Canada. She created the wildly popular tarot deck,
1:15.9	the antique anatomy tarot, and she was the first person to create an astrology-themed tarot deck
1:22.0	called the Arcana of Astrology, which was published in 2020. And we are talking about, again,
1:29.2	her new book, The Book of Seances, a guide to divination and speaking to spirits. Claire,
1:35.4	welcome to the show today. Hi, thanks for having me. What inspired this book?
1:41.5	So I've always been a fan of the Paranormal since I was a little kid, but in 2016,
1:48.4	I had a close friend go missing, and I decided to use tarot cards to see what they could give me
1:54.9	about where he might be. And they ended up providing me with the exact answers of where his body was,
2:04.4	and which was confirmed a few months later when it was found. And so I thought, okay, there's
2:10.1	something here with divination that I need to explore more, and that's what led to the book.
2:14.8	That's an amazing account to be able to get that precise of information. It really seems like
