0:40.0	This is Unchaken, and today we'll be covering the Book of Judges in the Old Testament.
0:44.0	In some ways, this is the sequel of what we studied last week in the Book of Joshua,
0:48.0	and in other ways, more than continuation, it might be counterpart of the Book of Joshua.
0:53.0	Because both Joshua and Judges have to do with the conquest of Canaan,
0:57.0	but they each tell kind of a different story.
1:00.0	In the Book of Joshua, the conquest seems to be complete.
1:03.0	They've conquered the Promised Land.
1:05.0	They've divvied everything up by a way of land of inheritance.
1:08.0	And yeah, there might be a few wandering Canaanites here or there.
1:11.0	They weren't able to conquer Jerusalem from the Jebusites, for example.
1:15.0	But for the most part, the Promised Land does seem to have come into the possession of the House of Israel.
1:21.0	Now, today, in the Book of Judges, it tells a bit of a different story.
1:25.0	The conquest is far from complete.
1:27.0	There seem to be Canaanites all over the place, and some challenges for the Israelites
1:32.0	that those neighbors present to them.
