Summary

We don't know for sure who wrote the books of Hebrews. Some suggestions include Paul, Barnabas, or Luke. Hebrews is a powerful encouragement to believers who were feeling tired and pressured in their faith. Its central message is simple but profound: Jesus is greater. Greater than angels, Moses, the priesthood, and the old covenant. Because of Him, we now have direct access to God and a better hope.

The books calls us to hold fast, draw near to God, and keep going, even when faith feels difficult. Jesus is our high priest, and the perfect high priest, because he can sympathize with our every weakness. How amazing is that? We can go to Him with everything and He understands us. Thank God.

We are reading Hebrews 1 through 7. Part 2 will include 8 through 13.
