0:41.0	and we have made it through all the big books of the Old Testament.
0:45.0	Hard to believe, but from here on out, I can't say smooth sailing
0:50.0	because there's still some rough waters ahead.
0:52.0	There's a lot of interesting and difficult passages that will need to unpack,
0:56.0	but they're all in shorter books.
0:58.0	And so if you were able to survive 66 chapters of Isaiah and 52 chapters of Jeremiah,
1:04.0	and who 48 chapters of Ezekiel in one week last week,
1:08.0	then this week we have a pittance with only 12 chapters from Daniel.
1:13.0	Come on, Daniel, you could have given us more than that.
1:15.0	Well, we still have our work cut out for us because the first half of Daniel is the half people know.
1:21.0	We get amazing stories like Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego and the Firey furnace.
1:26.0	We get Daniel and the lions then.
1:28.0	But the second half of Daniel seems to be the sealed portion of the book as far as most of us are concerned.
1:34.0	It's mostly apocalyptic with these visions of the last days and strange beasts and what on earth are they supposed to represent?
1:41.0	I don't know, so we're going to skip that second half and just cut it short.
1:44.0	No, I'm kidding. We're going to do it all.
