Journey to the West – Originally published in the 16th century and attributed to Wu Cheng’en; according to Britannica: “In addition to the novel’s comedy and adventure, Journey to the West has been enjoyed for its biting satire of society and Chinese bureaucracy and for its allegorical presentation of human striving and perseverance.” This version has a foreword by acclaimed comics artist Gene Luen Yang. Young Jedi Knights Novel Series – Written by Kevin J. Anderson & Rebecca Moesta and first published in 1995.
