These are my personal opinions always seek a professional when you're making choices about your mental health and well-being.

Why can't we get them out of our mind?

Why can't we get that person that we used to be in love with or that we lost.

Somebody passed away.

Why can't they stop occupying space?

And that's a question I get every now and then.

I just want to be able to move on.

And somebody asked me recently, or they said,

they thought it was unhealthy that they've hung on to this person in their mind for years after they broke up.

I'm the type of person that when I think about a past X, for example, way in the past, I still have a special place for most of them in my heart.

They're still there.

They don't go away unless they were just rotten.

Even then, some of the rotten ones, there were some nice times,

and we can have relationships where we have nice times with people.

And those nice times leave a mark.

And that mark is something that stays with us.

And if it doesn't stay with us, it's because maybe it wasn't as impactful when we were together. Or maybe we have met someone else and that has kind of been overwritten or maybe it's still

in there and you can have both at the same time you can have this memory of them while you

have this other person.

I remember I had a little hard time with my wife when we first met

where she said, I still love the people that I loved. I still love them. They're wonderful people,

at least a few of them. Some of them were very special to her, but the relationship didn't work out.
