The Blue Jackal. Once upon a time there was a jackal.

Once upon a time there was a jackal. He was a clever creature and often found clever ways to find food.

However, many of the other creatures didn't like the jackal at all.

For example, there was a group of dogs who claimed some territory as their own.

When the jackal came into their territory to find food, they chased him out.

The jackal ran as fast as he could into the nearby village for safety.

The dogs pursued the jackal and chased it this way and that.

Soon the jackal started to get tired and knew that he had to hide. He saw an open doorway at the Dyer's shop. A Dyer is a person whose job it is to change the color of materials by dipping them in dye. the Before long he heard the pack of dogs come and close him and then passing the shop.

He breathed a sigh of relief and soon dared to go outside again.

Just as he was squeezing out from between the buckets,

his poor caught on a piece of wood, and a bucket came toppling over and the

jackal was covered from top to bottom with blue dye. Not only, but when the bucket fell, it made a huge crashing noise and the

jackal ran back off into the forest as fast as he could before ran and ran and eventually found his burrow and exhausted he fell asleep.

The next morning he woke up.

The next morning he woke up. He uncurled and stretched and stepped outside for a breath of fresh air.

He saw a pack of monkeys not far away.
