In the previous chapters, we learned all about how Valency was settling in to her new life

with Barney on their island in Mistowice.

Valencia adored every aspect of their quirky little home and the beautiful wilderness surrounding

them.

Barney continued to be reclusive, locking himself away in his workshed and leaving for days

at a time with no explanation.

However, these things never bothered Valenci,

and her old sad life felt very far behind her.

Now that we're caught up with the story so far,
