God loves blessing his people.

Over time, he may bless us spiritually and emotionally.

And while even materially, but the focus here is on the blessing of words in the Old Testament,

God assigned Aaron and the tribe of Levi, the task of invoking his blessing on the people

of Israel.

Our passage for meditation is Aaron's blessing of words on God's chosen people.

The words we use have enormous power in the lives of those around us.

They have the ability to either comfort or curse, to build up others or to tear down.

So is anyone ever crushed your spirit with a cruel word?

While the theme of this meditation from Numbers 6 is receiving a kind word from God and

reflecting on powerful words of restorative grace, holy words of redemptive healing, and

divine words of heavenly comfort and hope.

So for the next 15 minutes, just try to leave behind worldly words of pain or anguish,

and instead allow your mind to center on the peaceful rhythm of breathing, the gentle closing

of your eyes, and all as you encounter the words of blessing from the Holy Father,

the Holy Son, and the Holy Spirit.
