0:05.9	For some weeks we've been on a series we're calling the blame game.
0:12.3	The blame game.
0:14.8	And our main text is here in Genesis 3 when Adam and Eve disobeyed God and ate of the fruit of the knowledge of good and
0:28.0	evil.
0:29.4	The scripture said that right after they did that, they went and hid, they tried to hide
0:36.8	from God.
0:38.9	Now that is a futile endeavor trying to hide from God.
0:44.9	You just can't do it.
0:47.2	He saw you when you picked your hiding place, so that's just not going to work.
0:52.9	But the Bible said in Genesis 3, 7, they sowed the fig leaves together, made themselves
1:00.7	aprons, they heard the voice or the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the
1:06.7	cool of the day.
1:08.2	Adam and his wife, both of them hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God amongst
1:14.3	the trees of the garden.
1:15.7	So the first effort was just to hide completely from God.
1:22.7	This reveals that they had sinned, and because prior to that, they had no fear of God.
1:31.1	They didn't run from God.
1:33.4	They communed with God.
1:35.8	But this is one of the terrible consequences of sin is fear, fear of punishment, fear of judgment. And so they are, even though they know
1:51.5	God is there, they heard his sound and they prior to this been communing with him, they're
1:59.7	trying to hide themselves.
