For a few weeks now, we've been on this series that we're calling the blame game.

In Genesis 3 and verse 7,

Genesis 3 and verse 7, God has created the heaven and the earth as we follow the Genesis account here,

and he's made man and woman. And chapter 3 begins by showing the temptation from the serpent

and his craftiness and his deviousness.

And the woman took of the fruit that God had commanded them not to eat and took of it

and gave to her husband and he ate of it too.

And in verse 7 it says the eyes of them both were opened and they knew that they were

naked and they sowed fig leaves together and made themselves aprons.

Notice their first action was to try to cover it. Cover. Verse eight, they heard the

voice of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and Adam and his wife did what?

Hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God amongst the trees

of the garden.

Now, of course, he knew what had happened.

He saw it.

Nothing's hidden from the eyes of him with whom we have to do.

But if you hadn't seen the act, you'd know what it happened from their actions.

They're trying to cover.
