Yes. On a February winters day in 1988 in Durham, North Carolina, a woman named

Jolyn was on a mission that involved her ex-husband. Now, usually on our show, the words ex-husband

and mission lead to some pretty homicidal stories. However, Jolyn was doing quite the opposite.

She, in fact, was hounding the police to get justice for her ex, a man named Russ Stager.

Russ had been accidentally shot by his current wife, Barbara, and the police had quickly

ruled out foul play. What? Yeah, it seems pretty wild to me too. Shot by his current wife.
