So Captain Washington described where we are right now and also what we're looking at.

We're in front of Volkan Hall, which is Black Firefighters headquarters in Brooklyn,

Crown Heights.

Captain Paul Washington is the former president of the Volkan Society, a brother and sisterhood

of Black Firefighters in New York City.

And we're looking at a statue that was dedicated to the 12 Black Firefighters who died at 9-11.

Captain Washington is a 33 year veteran of the FDNY, the fire department of New York City.

And like a lot of America this week, he's going to be commemorating the 20 year anniversary of 9-11.

The actual statue consists of a Black Firefighter in his full firefighting gear holding his helmet to his chest looking up towards heaven.

And he's standing on top of the World Trade Center.

He's got one foot on each tower and you can see that the towers are in the process of collapsing.

The front of the statue has a plaque with those 12 Firefighters names.

Five martial Andre Fletcher, Five Fighter Terro Coleman, Five Fighter Vernon Sherry, Five Fighter William Henry,

Five Fighter Ronnie Henderson, Five Fighter Carl Joseph, Five Fighter Keith Roy Manard,

Five Fighter Sean Powell, Captain Vernon Richard, Five Fighter Leon Smith, Jr.,

Five Fighter Jorod Baptiste, and Five Fighter Keith Classical.

But these aren't just names, you knew these brothers.

New old 12 of them, yes.

Five martial Andre Fletcher, he worked in Rescue Five.

And his brother Zach is still currently a New York City Five Fighter.

Really nice guy, Andre Terro Coleman.
