Good morning and welcome to the Independent Republic of Mike Graham right here on Talk TV.

It is the end of yet another incredible week of shows.

I have to say, I have not, I think, had a day when it hasn't been remarkable in terms of news.

All the way through, we've had all sorts of things happening.

We've got a new prime minister this week, of course. We've got a new chancellor from last week.

He's still managing to hang in there. We've got a new home secretary. He used to be the

home secretary, but he's now the home secretary again. We've got so much to talk about coming

up into this weekend. Halloween looms on Monday. And for some obscure reason, it just doesn't feel quite right,

does it? There was going to be a Halloween budget. That's not going to happen now either.

Almost everything that we said was going to happen, didn't happen, and then did happen.

Elon Musk, for example, has taken over Twitter. First, he wanted to take over Twitter. They said

he couldn't. And then he said he didn't want to, and then they said he had to, and now he has.

Is there something weird in the water this year?

Nothing really happens the way it used to happen.

So if I said, I'd like to go to Glasgow, And then to go, no, you've got to have to go to Glasgow now. That's what's happened at Twitter. I don't know whether it's made any difference to the way things have gone.
