Tell me, tell me, tell me, do. Very rarely did she say the name Wendy. No. Isn't that sad? I bet a lot. For people who don't know, romper room was a very, very popular show, late 50s into the 60s. If you're in your late 50s into the 60s way you'd remember it and then at every at at the end of every show she would look into this this hoop this wand this

round thing and she would say all the kids that she saw and she I don't remember her ever saying

Wendy because it wasn't a common name at the time bill was a very common name at the time and she wouldn't say it. And I'd be jumping around in my pajamas trying to make her see me and she wouldn't see me. Did you walk behind the TV to act like you could tap her on the shoulder? Is Elizabeth? No, I didn't do that. Was it Miss or Mrs?

Miss Elizabeth.

Okay, yeah.

Yeah.

But I think there was also a woman named, this is what I've been told, prior to Miss Elizabeth, so this would have been pre-you and me existing, it was a lady named Miss Francis.

Did you ever hear that?

That was the other show.

It wasn't Romp or Romm. Oh, was that a different show? It was the Dumb Dumb School. Dumb School. What was they called? I'm not sure they could have that show today. Hi, kids. Welcome to Dumb Dumb School. Sit down. That means move your body in a position so you're seated for you dumb-dums.

I thought there wasn't there a... Is that a different show? I thought that was the same show.

Maybe. I don't remember because I wasn't born. So do you remember Miss Elizabeth at some point,

usually about the midway mark, she would tell you what you needed to wear for that day and they'd have little kids and she'd put a coat on them or a hat. But that couldn't be accurate because it was shown

out throughout the United States. Parts of the United States wouldn't be the same as all the other

parts. Can I say no kid but you thought of that? And I bet you thought of it then, not just now. Yeah, and she obviously was ignoring me, so I couldn't say anything to her. Like, well, Ms. Elizabeth, pick me, parts of the United States will be cold and blustery, as you pointed out, but other parts will be warm and sunny. They shouldn't be wearing coats in San Diego. Well, I'm not going to see you during the romper, Stumper, Bumper Bumper Bumpur Boupart then, she would say. Did you have those things? Rompereum had a toy spin-off, and they were cups that you would put under your shoes and then you had strings, cords, and then you'd walk them around like you were a human marionette.

I had those.
