Good morning everyone and welcome back to another morning with the masters where we devoted

0:14.8

ourselves to the Lord daily with you. Good morning you guys. Good morning indeed. We were

0:19.3

picking up with a exciting new devotion on the Bible app titled The Ruthless Elimination of

0:23.9

Hurry, which is based off of one of Tori's favorite absolute books ever. I'm obsessed. Yeah,

0:29.3

so we're in day one there's a link to that in the description of the podcast. You guys want to

0:32.3

fall along with us and as always I'm going to read the scripture and Tori's going to pick up

0:35.2

1:34.4

enemy of spiritual life is not what I would expect. I live in one of the most secular progressive

1:40.8

cities in America, but if you were to ask me, what is the greatest challenge to your spiritual life

1:46.8

in Portland, I'm not sure what I'd say. How would you answer that question? I bet very few of us

1:53.4

would default to hurry as our answer. And yet the more I think about it, the more I agree.

2:00.7

Cori Tinboom once said that if the devil can't make you sin, he'll make you busy. Her logic is

2:06.8

sound. Both sin and busyness have the exact same effect. They cut off our connection to God,

2:14.1

to other people, and even to our own soul. Many of us are just too busy to live emotionally

2:22.2

healthy and spiritually rich and vibrant lives. Granted, there is a healthy kind of busyness
