I think, one of our most formidable spiritual enemies might surprise you.

For most of us what keeps us from reading our Bible or praying with others or being a part of a small group or being a part of the

worship service on Sunday. The main thing that keeps us from that isn't some major

trial in our life. It's not a big health issue. It's not that we doubt the truthfulness

of Christianity. No, the main thing that often stands between us and Jesus is far more common and ordinary. It's

busyness. Business is one of the greatest enemies of our spiritual life. Business is the major obstacle that keeps

the majority of us from growing in our faith.

It's kind of ironic that the early followers of Christ could not be stopped by persecution or poverty or prison or martyrdom.
