As you know, Republicans already have 50 seats.

Democrats have 48 seats.

There are two Senate seats in play because there was no one who got more than 50% in the election.

So that forces a runoff.

And now we have this battle between these candidates playing out with the whole country watching very closely because so much is at stake.
