Summary

Joe Pisapia is joined by Pat Fitzmaurice and Jake Ciely to break down the RBs they're hesitant to draft at current ADP. Is Ashton Jeanty being pushed too high? Has James Cook become overpriced? Should fantasy managers trust Breece Hall, De'Von Achane, Quinshon Judkins, or Aaron Jones this season?

The crew also debates the Steelers' backfield between Jaylen Warren and Rico Dowdle before wrapping up with a rapid-fire sleeper segment featuring Tyrone Tracy Jr., Jonathan Brooks, Dylan Sampson, Keaton Mitchell, Tank Bigsby, and more.

Whether you're drafting in redraft, best ball, dynasty, or Scott Fish Bowl, this episode will help you avoid costly mistakes and identify which RBs carry more risk than reward.

And today we're going to talk about the running backs that, dun-d-d-dun terrify us. That's right. It's scary times around these parts of Fantasy Pros, and it's possible that the ADP is calling from inside the house.

0:21.9

And we're going to find out which of these running backs have these two analysts of ours losing

sleep over the next few months. Of course, subscribe to this channel here on YouTube, Fantasy

drop your comments below. We love hearing from me, especially the positive comments. We'll take the negative ones, too. It's fine because it all helps the algorithm. Also, it's one of those great demarcation moments in the fantasy football season before we get to all of the fun stuff we're going to talk about today, or maybe terrifying stuff. Maybe it's not so fun. But of course, July 4th weekend, everybody enjoying with friends and family, hanging out, hope everybody had a great fourth. But this is also when we turn the page into Scott Fishball, which starts today, which is for a great cause too. So pay attention to that, everybody. And remember, when you buy a fantasy football blackbook this week on Amazon, we make donations. Half the proceedings go to St. Jude's Children's Hospital. So if you're on Amazon at all this week, go get yourself a blackbook. In honor Scott Fishbowl this week, we always like to do our donations to help our part. And that's kind of the thing, Jake. Like this is mostly outside of best ball and stuff. This is like the first draft that we have for the fishbowl, which is a great cause. It's gotten so enormous over the years. It's crazy. It raises so much money for so many great causes. But this is where it starts to feel like, okay, now we're officially in fantasy football season. To me, this is like the plant the flag moment where it begins. Maybe for you, if I didn't tell Scott Fish

to kick rocks years ago when he did that stupid kicker thing, and that started giving away my spot in Scott Fishbowl. But yes, I still donate. I still love doing the St. Jude. As you know, we do that show together with CBS, too, that also helps St. Jude. So always a great cause to help for that. But yeah, I will still give, but I also give away my spot because I'm not playing in that nonsense.

2:02.0

Yeah, you know what?

2:03.0

And that's point, too.

2:03.6

It's like, you know, I will still give, but I also give away my spot because I'm not playing in that nonsense.

2:02.0

Yeah.

2:02.4

You know what?

2:03.0

And that's point, too.

2:03.6

It's like, you know, I like that they try to make it fun with all the different scoring and things like that. But it gets so crazy over the years. Like, I don't even get me back this year. Because he chilled out with the kickers. That like, see, like, that's why. He chilled out with the kickers, but he also put video game stuff in it, which Pat, I chose the Metal Gear Solid League, because probably my favorite all-time game that I played to beat a million times in the 90s. Yeah. So, Pat, did you choose a certain league based on your favorite video game this year? Yes, NHL-94, my favorite video game of all time. That's a Pat Fitzmorest League if ever there was one. was one. I've dedicated far more hours of my life to that game than any other over the year. So, yeah, I had to get into that one. And it's a great division. Let me ask you this, Pat. Did you play with the original rosters or because you can make any trades you want? Because there was no like Madden and AI where they like rejected trades. Did you trade favorite players to your team because I did both I'll admit I I trade a badano and

2:55.3

kuch to the Rangers because I would always play with that I was a stalwart but I also

3:01.7

played with a regular team to be clear like obviously that team was unstoppable but did you did

3:05.8

you do that mine was yeah no we kept the teams. And even though the Rangers are my favorite team in NHL 94, the Toronto Maple Leafs, were always my team. I love playing with Doug Gilmore and Wendell Clark. A better team. See, I was an NHL 2000 guy where you can make your own players and all that stuff. And we did that in college. We played that so much and the ice was so white that my eyes after about like four or five hours, I couldn't see. You start to like look around the room and you would have problem seeing because you're just staring at the white of the ice. Like those floaters. You're like doing this and the floaters. See, the OGs know what we're talking about. All right. Let's get into the running back discussion for the crazy person in the YouTube channel going, you got to fast forward to 350 for something to talk about football. All right, here we go. So let's talk about it here. And let's start with some running backs between number one and number 20 that we're a little concerned with. So these are the guys that are more of a premium price RB style. And Jake, the first one of yours is an actually both of yours are on my list. But the first one I can talk about is Ash and Genti, which is, again, a wonderful talent. But I have, I think, some of the same concerns you do. So why don't you voice some of the reasons why Ash and Genti maybe puts you on pause a little bit because of his ADP

4:14.4

and because of that turnover in the Raiders organization.

4:17.0

We're not saying he's not good. We're saying that there is some downside. Yeah. And basically it's the downside of we saw last year how bad it could go wrong. So we also know that is that how bad this team. Man, something we've referenced time and time again,

4:29.7

you know, shout out to the late great Mike Taglier,

4:32.2

is about how hard it is for an RB1 to happen. bad this team and something we've referenced time and time again you know is that shout out to

4:30.9

the late great mike taglier is about how hard it is for an rb one to happen on a bottom five
