Hello and welcome to the Athletic FC podcast with me, Ayot Akimilaro.

We're nearly halfway through the season and already it's been one to remember.

0:13.6

From Liverpool's record break in transfer window,

0:16.6

Forrest's own personal managerial merry-go-round and the departure of Daniel Levy. Yep, it has been a lot.

0:24.3

So, join us on a short trip down memory lane. We have to start with the transfer window,

0:32.7

and it was defined by two great stories. Look, you already know we're going to be talking about

1:28.6

1:37.3

proposed transfer. I think that was more a case of the negotiations, the back and forth

1:42.5

between Spurs and Crystal Palace over whether it be the fixed fee, the back and forth between Spurs and Crystal Pallets,

1:45.2

over whether it be the fixed fee, the add-ons, the ins and outs of a deal of such magnitude.

1:51.9

And it hasn't been suggested to me that the conference league game brought about a delay

1:58.0

that allowed Arsenal to sneak in and get this done.
