Subhannullah, the Quran gives us so many visuals of the day of judgment,

and when you can actually point that visual to an incident in the sira of the prophet

sallu.

Then it carries so much more weight.

As we come into this juz where we go through Surat al-Muhmino, and we come into Sura

Furokhan, Allah, Siphanu Tala gives us a visual of people that are eating their fists.

So I want you to imagine on the day of judgment if as you're looking around, you see men that

are so nervous that they're not biting their fingernails, but they have their whole hands

in their mouths, and they're biting off their hands.

This is, of course, a representation of anxiety, an extreme anxiety.

As the scholars mentioned, when the women saw the beauty of Yusuf

a.l. They cut their fingers without recognizing it.

And that was being lost in the beauty of Yusuf,

what about being lost in the terror of your own state

to where you're biting your entire hands.

And Allah, Svhanra-Tadá'a says they will speak and one of them will say,

Yeah, leitani titha to ma'rasuri sabeila.

I wish I would have taken the path of the messenger of Allah, Sallallah aeneha.

Yeah, weilathe, leitani,

this is compounding self-grief.

Woe to me, how much of a loser am I to have taken that person as a friend.
