I kind of expected it to fall this way because they weren't going to punish conference

championship losers. But to your point, that committee, and this is before even the 12-team playoff, was very good

at conveniently finding what they needed to say to get the outcomes they wanted. So I would buy that.

And let me just finish kind of the loop on this with the 16 teams. If they do that,

I think an easy addition would be two rounds of home sites, which would help you get more of what you're asking for here.

It would also mean a team like Oregon and Georgia and Boise.

Boise doesn't get a home game now.

That blue turf would be great for them to host a playoff game.

Same with Arizona State and Tempe and that crowd.

It would guarantee that the best teams would get home games.

And in some cases, plural with two rounds of home sites.

And then you can still do your orange bowls and your Rose Bowl and Sugar Bowl all the way to the title.
