Hello, everyone and welcome to our podcast. We are going back in a time machine today, all the way back to season number one. I can't wait. I'm Barry Williams.

And we are together. The real Brady Rose. Yeah. Okay. It's always fun going back to what I'm starting to

think of as the age of innocence here. The plots and the way that they are constructed and the way that we

behave and kind of collude and usually in pairs or groupings. So it's either girls and boys

or the oldest, two, middle, two, youngest two.

It's wild because it's almost like it's a whole different show.

It kind of is.

First and second season from the later seasons.

And it reminds me of sort of the transition of like that kind of, I don't know,

Andy Griffith kind of television of the 60s, the Ozzie and Harriet kind of stuff, to the stuff that was, you know, later in

the 80s, the Happy Days style of a comedy. We were sort of in that transition and you kind of

watch it from the early years to the later years. And I truly

enjoy these earlier episodes because you can see the structure of the show and why we

struggled maybe more so in the later years, because it was really built for us being these

ages and learning these lessons that we'll learn in this episode. I was kind of thinking about that

in terms of,

you know, our contemporary shows of like, let's say, the 11 seasons of modern family.

Because really the structure of that show, I didn't notice as changing that much. Of course,

you had a lot more adults, and adults were handling adult problems, and the kids

were always handling the problems that would be age appropriate for themselves and in a different

way.

But it seems like with our show, it was almost always dominated by the kids' issues, and we
