I'm David Rothkopf, and I am joined today as every single week by Norm Ornstein.

I'm very, very hesitant to ask you, Norm, but how are you doing?

I'm persevering.

Let's put it that way, David.

This is every day that goes by, we have more horrors and more horror stories.

And I think the last week, and especially the last day or two have been even more horrible.

Well, why is that, Norm? Why is the last day or two more horrible?

Let's talk about a couple of things. One is what we've seen happening in Chicago and Portland,

and it is very clearly, to me, a deliberate effort

by Stephen Miller and the people around Trump, by Christy Nome and Tom Holman, to provoke violence, to get for themselves videos that seem to show

riots, but that have actually been created by the mass thugs who are in both of those cities.

And that includes video that we've now seen. Two,

involving Catholic priests. One, a priest standing there, basically telling the ice people in front

of him that he's praying for them, and they spray him up close with

horrific gas right in the face and disable him.

The second, even worse, is a group of people in Portland outside the main ice facility. They're standing there behind whatever

lines there were. And a sniper from the roof sent a projectile onto the head from the roof
