Dane, my friend, welcome to the Encounter podcast. We were chatting in the green room, and as I was hearing your story, I came to believe this. I think that

your testimony is so necessary for this generation, especially because of all the issues we're

hearing about this generation concerning mental health, emotional problems, thinking problems,

attitude problems. And I really believe that the church needs to capture a revelation of what God did for you.

Because what God did for you, I believe God wants to do for a generation.

People often testify of being healed of cancer and blindness and deafness. These are wonderful miracles,

and I know God's going to continue to do them. But I also believe that we're going to see a

resurgence of the healing ministry as it pertains to mental health. God did it with you.

Amen. And thank you so much for having me on, David. It's a truly an opportunity to share

something that God did to hopefully encourage those who might be going through something similar

in their mental health today. So you're sitting here testifying of the goodness of God in your right

mind, seeing lives transformed. But it didn't look like that always. And there was a season of

your life where you struggled severely with your mental health until Jesus set you free.

Talk to us about that struggle, how deep the darkness was, and how the Lord ultimately pulled you out of that.

I would love to. I'm 33 years old right now. I started following the Lord deeply when I was 18

and he started to transform my life like he does for many people when they start following him.

Prayer was that foundation for me and about four years into growing in prayer,

the enemy came and attacked me in my mind. And because I didn't have a strong foundation of the

word, understanding my identity as a believer as well as my authority to exercise and fight

back against, you know, that spiritual warfare that I was experiencing,
