Welcome to the enemy's list. I'm Rick Wilson your host and with me today is my friend Greg

Sergeant. He's a columnist for Washington Post opinions and a gimlet eyeed observer of

all of the various comings, goings, corruption's large and small of Washington DC. And I'm

delighted he took some time to sit down with us because we're going to cover the waterfront

on a lot of the things that are happening in Washington right now that have been absorbing

the news at a level that seems like everything's coming in everywhere all at once.

There was also maintained what was called an enemy's list. Democrats want Republicans

dead. I could stand in the middle of fifth avenue and shoot somebody. The women with

the least likelihood of getting pregnant are the ones most worried about having abortions.

On January 6 of 2021 you had tens of thousands of people peacefully protesting. You're

the president of the United States. You can detest if I just by saying it's take less

life. It's not a right wing conspiracy theory. It's not queuing on. It's real. I'm Rick Wilson

piece about John Eastman because it seems in some ways like an emblematic piece of the

best people that Trump surrounded him with, especially as the administration sort of wound

down, turn out to be a lot of folks who are either finally starting to see some consequences

for their behavior of trying to overthrow a democratic election or at the minimum are

just having their reputations in their career sort of thrown into the dustbin of history.

So tell us about the John Eastman story and why you think it's important. Well John Eastman

as I'm sure your listeners know very well was the chief architect of the legal theory
