Summary

Is it just me, or does that title sound like a Star Wars movie? Anyhoo. What you've got here in episode 7 is a SUPER-SIZED podcast, a combination of the one we recorded right before Thanksgiving and the one we recorded a couple of days ago. Which means there is nothing even remotely resembling narrative structure. But then again, we never really had that before, even when we tried. So you should feel right at home. And what topics do we cover? Well, we spend a lengthy amount of time discussing Big Mama's hair (seriously, it is a WONDER - I'm thinking of erecting a memorial stone in its honor because it is a testimony to God's love and faithfulness), various and sundry perfumes we have worn through the years, recent college football coaching changes (OH, WE CAN'T HELP IT), Big Mama and Gulley's annual Christmas shopping extravaganza and last but not least, our pregnancy weight gains. Or in Big Mama's case: pregnancy "weight gain." Not to mention that Alex reminds Big Mama that he knows how to shake his bootie. He is his mama's child. http://bigmama1.com http://boomama.net

Hey everybody, this is Big Mama. Hey everybody, it's Melanie, it's Big Mama. Okay. Oh yeah, my name is Sophie.

0:46.5

All right. Yeah. Hello. Hello. What's going on with you? Oh, nothing. That's it. Hold on, say here we go. Hold on. It's Miss Melanie.

1:00.5

You want to say hello? Hey. Hey Alex. How are you, sweetie? Oh, he can't hear you. Hold on. Hold on.

1:08.5

Hey Alex. Hey. How are you, sweetie? Fine. You're good. You're having a good day. I love that big room. You do? Well, it was, it was a neat room wasn't it? Yeah, it was a big. It was pretty big, don't you think? Yes, my man. We watched those kind of movies. Yeah, yeah. I remember that. What do we watch? I can't remember. Oh, the pumpkin. I'm, I'm saying can be. I know I was just like mine. You do? Oh, that's right. You watch Caroline shake.

1:38.5

That's right. I forgot. I know. Well, I wish. Yeah, that's right. That's right. How was school today? I know. Well, we've already got, we've already got one over here. Oh, yeah. Caroline, now she just asked if it's her turn. Yeah, real quick. Okay. She's got, she has something prepared today. She likes to say good. Good. Okay. All right. You ready? What are you going to say?

2:07.5

We better say this is your chance. Go ahead. Are you done? No, I just want you to, how will you talk for a little bit more? Okay, I'll talk for a little bit longer, because she's not ready yet. Oh, she's very nervous. Uh-huh. She, she, she's very shy. She's like her mom. She's very shy. Uh-huh. My podcast. She is. I thought she is. It just, it just gives her a new outlook on love. Well, how? Okay. Oh, we got. All right. Well, I have, do you have any questions?

2:37.5

Yeah, but of course, I can't remember what we've talked about what we haven't. Um, well, I had, well, now I have a question here. I'm just going to Shelley for bitches and Caroline's not not talking anymore, baby. She's going to watch a show just like you can do now. Okay, you can go watch that now, please. Thank you. Okay. Sorry. Okay. Um, that's okay. Um, now don't. Okay.

3:07.5

Okay. Hold on, baby. This is when you have to be quiet. Okay. You understand? Okay. We'll see how that goes. Uh-huh. Uh-huh. Uh-huh. Well, we've already got, we've already got one over here. Oh, yeah. Caroline, now she just asked if it's her turn. Yeah, real quick. Okay. She's got, she hasn't prepared to die. She liked to say. I'm good. Um, I had a podcast question from, and I think we've kind of already answered this before, but Shelley may have missed it. This is from Shelley at itches and scratches. And she wanted to know after hearing, you know, since my hair got right,

3:37.5

my favorite views, no pen intended after the Birmingham trip. Okay. She won't have a post like just a title of a post, but I haven't really yet about your hair. Uh-huh. It's called her hair thunders in marvelous ways. It does great things beyond our understanding. Oh, my hair is flattered. Um, but she cracks me up. I think you don't even need a post with that. I think you could just put that down. I really need a pick.

4:07.5

But unfortunately, when you were here, I did not take a lot of pictures of your hair. I should have that. Well, we probably would have thought that was kind of odd at the time. Right. Right. And we snap pictures. But I do think that, you know, we could have done pictures of the various styles that I can do with my hair. Right. Right. Which was really my objective was just like to dig sort of a retrospective of all the many things you can do with your hair. Because I can pretty much put mine in a clippy or not. And that's all. Well, but it's not long.

4:37.5

That's the difference. Well, when it's long, you have options. You have hair options. And most of the days, my option is to just pull it all back in a ponytail. That's usually my normal option. That's a good option. Well, it really works. I went and had braces. I liked it. Because then I could just look 14 all the time with my ponytail and my braces. Um, but anyways, you understand what kind of hair products I use and what kind of hair do I have to begin with? Okay. Um, so straight and fine or wavy and coarse. I have very fine hair. But this is what I've always been told. I have

5:07.5

very fine hair. But you have a lot of it. You have a lot of hair. And that's the. Yeah. So the fine hair works for me because I have a lot of it. So, but it's not really coarse because it's it's actually pretty fine in the whole scheme of things. And it had used to have a lot of damage because there was a good 20 years that my hair always had some sort of permanent solution in it. So to help with the hype. And then my hair products. I've talked about stay that I use to make it sizzle. Um, and yeah, it does.

5:37.5

You get the good sizzle. And I like that a lot. And then I use moose. The moose I bought. I just put moose in it. And that's at the grocery store because my hairdresser told me that moose is lighter on your hair than anything else. And I needed lightness. So I use it's bio silk moose is what I put in. And then sometimes if I want to get a little bit more height and body, I use big sexy hair. Yeah, I love the big sexy hair stuff. Yeah. Rick booster. Yeah. And I use that. And in fact, Gellie and Nina called Gellie today. I wanted to know about what kind of product she used. And so she was writing

6:07.5

down big sexy hair. And then she said, is that a type of cream rants? And we said, and we said that cream rants is one of those phrases like olio that it kind of date you, you know,

6:22.9

rants does date you. It really doesn't have a thought of that. It makes me think of a gray shampoo. Do you remember a gray shampoo? Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. It was agreed with that bouncing and behaving. That was certain. But I that's right.

6:35.6

Gray had sense like they have like a lemon agree that I remember that sister used to use. And they had all sorts of citrusy smells.

6:44.5

And one of them was green right when it like like you're a green. Oh, yeah, in the box. Oh, yeah. Yeah, I agree. I remember agree. That was.

6:53.7

So anyway, that's what I use with my hair. But really my favorite thing to do with my hair is wash it at night. And then I just twist it up in like a little
