So here's what's going on. Gary Patterson

during the Big 12 coaches teleconference earlier this week had a money quote. Patterson said,

it really bothers me. We base everything whether our league is good or bad on whether Oklahoma or

Texas is good.

And Gary Patterson's exactly right by that.

Now, here's the thing.

It does happen in other conferences as well, right?

Like the PAC 12 wants USC to be good.

The Big 10 wants Ohio State and Michigan to be good, Penn State as well.

The ACC, I would say now it's basically Clemson.

But, you know, if they had their perfect world, they would probably want Miami to be good, too, right?
