Summary

Between 1978 and 1992 a serial killer is believed to be responsible for the murders of 6 to 11 women. The case has been dubbed the Redhead Murders due to the similar hair color of the victims. Back in February, we first told you about the Elizabethton High School students' findings and the Redhead murders case. Their research was even shared with FBI

behavioral analysis. Now, their teacher Alex Campbell has identified three more victims,

potentially linked to the crimes. We found that there were two other victims that could be similar.

and also one in Cox County in kind of southeast Tennessee. One victim, a Jane Doe, whose remains

were found in 1981 by two hunters near the Cheatham County landfill in Pighram, about three miles from I-40.

Campbell says she was believed to be a hitchhiker. They did say that she was between 15 and 20,

so she was young, she was relatively small. Campbell says in March of 1979, two boys discovered

a different victim in Robertson County, not far from Interstate 65.

Campbell says the woman had been dead for six to nine months before her remains were found.
