But first, in Genesis, God determined that he will wipe out humankind because of its great

sinfulness and he sends the Great Flood.

But he preserves a remnant of humans to start the world anew.

He also tells Noah to build an ark and take breeding pears of all the animals.

After the flood, he blesses man and the animals and gives the rainbow as a sign he will never

again destroy the world by flood. But the flood account is a subject of controversy.

People ask questions like, was Noah a real person?

Was there really a worldwide flood?

And how should we understand this biblical text?

Well, that's what we'll be talking about on this episode of Jimmy Aiken's mysterious world.
