Now, when we think about the New Testament and baptism, maybe the first person we think of is John the Baptist. This is the first place that we have

a kind of explicit reference to this sort of ritual baptism. Even though, you know, we have these

ritual washings in the Old Testament. There seems to be something new going on with John the Baptist.
