| 0:18.0 | Now, there's three main types of movements. |
| 0:21.0 | You have isometric movements, which is holding a pose. |
| 0:25.0 | Let's say, for example, you're in a push-up position |
| 0:28.0 | and you're contracting your muscles, but you're not lengthening or shortening that muscle. |
| 0:33.0 | You're just holding that pose while your muscles are in contraction. |
| 0:37.0 | It's called isometric. |
| 0:38.0 | Then you have concentric. |
| 0:40.0 | This is where you're shortening a muscle. |
| 0:42.0 | You're shortening a muscle while you're contracting. |
| 0:46.0 | Then you have eccentric type movement. |
| 0:49.0 | That's where you're lengthening the muscle while you're contracting. |
| 0:53.0 | This would be concentric, and this would be eccentric, where you're going down this way. |
| 1:00.0 | There's many different examples of eccentric. |
| 1:03.0 | It's called negative training. |
| 1:05.0 | Walking down a hill, you're going to use a lot of eccentric type motions. |
| 1:09.0 | Let's say you do a pull-up, and then you let yourself down very, very slowly. |
| 1:14.0 | That would be a eccentric type motion. |
| 1:17.0 | Let's say, for example, you're in a push-up position and you're letting yourself down. |
