Welcome back to another episode of the podcast, Rami Upton Ruminations.

My name is Scott, and I'm the host.

Today's episode is called

The Very Best Revenge. All right, I've got to admit that the title is a little inflammatory and perhaps misleading for the subject that we're going to discuss today.

But before we jump into it, I want to acknowledge the year and a half gap since my last

episode. So sorry about that. Without going into too much detail, my personal life became

much busier for a time. And I had to readjust some of my personal

priorities to give more time to my spouse and my family and I had to take a step back from

podcasting. So I apologize for leaving you high and dry. I wanted to say thank you to the many

people that have reached out to me in this time,

checking in on me. I've mentioned my struggles with mental health, depression, and it was

very thoughtful and kind of so many of you to check in on me and make sure that I was okay.

And I just want to say that, yes, I am doing great. My mental health is better than it's

ever been. It is something that I'll probably struggle with my whole life, but that's something

I've come to accept. And enough about that, let's jump into this. So for many of you that may not

have listened, maybe this will be your first episode of one of my podcasts. The tone that I

try to set is one of neutrality and acceptance, both of active believing members and those

that have left the church. With that said, I can be critical of the church, but I try to be

fair with the criticisms that I do make. Today I want to discuss, I want to discuss judgment.

I want to discuss the feeling of acceptance.

I want to discuss the way people that leave the church are oftentimes treated by members

that stay in the church.
