| 0:00.0 | Welcome back to another episode of the podcast, Rami Upton Ruminations. |
| 0:11.7 | My name is Scott, and I'm the host. |
| 0:19.3 | Today's episode is called |
| 0:21.1 | The Very Best Revenge. All right, I've got to admit that the title is a little inflammatory and perhaps misleading for the subject that we're going to discuss today. |
| 0:55.0 | But before we jump into it, I want to acknowledge the year and a half gap since my last |
| 1:00.1 | episode. So sorry about that. Without going into too much detail, my personal life became |
| 1:08.6 | much busier for a time. And I had to readjust some of my personal |
| 1:13.2 | priorities to give more time to my spouse and my family and I had to take a step back from |

| 1:26.3 | people that have reached out to me in this time, |
| 1:29.1 | checking in on me. I've mentioned my struggles with mental health, depression, and it was |
| 1:35.5 | very thoughtful and kind of so many of you to check in on me and make sure that I was okay. |

| 1:46.5 | ever been. It is something that I'll probably struggle with my whole life, but that's something |
| 1:52.0 | I've come to accept. And enough about that, let's jump into this. So for many of you that may not |
| 1:57.0 | have listened, maybe this will be your first episode of one of my podcasts. The tone that I |
| 2:02.1 | try to set is one of neutrality and acceptance, both of active believing members and those |
| 2:09.0 | that have left the church. With that said, I can be critical of the church, but I try to be |
| 2:13.5 | fair with the criticisms that I do make. Today I want to discuss, I want to discuss judgment. |
| 2:21.2 | I want to discuss the feeling of acceptance. |
| 2:25.3 | I want to discuss the way people that leave the church are oftentimes treated by members |
| 2:30.5 | that stay in the church. |
