The second biggest school system in the US is Los Angeles Unified School District.

We're talking about more than a half million students, 70,000 employees at more than

a thousand facilities.

Well this week, school is out.

We will stand united 65,000 members strong.

School staffers, including teachers, have gone on strike as part of a multi-day walkout.

Yeah, so that is happening right now.

Obviously, if you've got kids in the LA School District, you're aware of this because

you're scrambling to figure out how to deal with that for a week or who knows how long

this lasts.

It's a big deal.

And looking for a 30% wage increase.

Good luck.

That's a heck of a jump.

Of course, that's what you start high.

Ever negotiated.

But it's unfortunate, obviously, for the kids in that they're already behind from the

pandemic.

And we're behind before the pandemic started.
