Let's get into it, man. Happy heavenly birthday to Dr. Seuss, a guy that changed a lot of our lives.

Kivino, you told me something this morning I did not know.

Yeah.

Not only did Dr. Seuss win a $50 bet that he could write a book using only 50 words,

he was about to call quits.

And the story goes, he was walking down the street.

He was walking down the street, and he had a book under his arm, and he had given up.

He said, if I'm not getting signed today, he went to every publisher in the city.

And on his last publisher, they didn't give him the okay.

He's like, all right, well, then I'm giving this up and I'm burning this book, and that's it.

I'm giving up as an author.

He ran into an old pal who had just got hired by a publishing company. Yeah, it's funny that you would rewrite in a book, C. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I'm working for a publisher now, see. How about I take it over down to the publishing company for you, Dr. Seuss? See. He wasn't the Dr. Seuss then. He was like writing comics for the newspaper. Yeah, but, uh, and his friend brought it to the publisher on the day he was ready to call it quits. And had he called it quits, we wouldn't have all these legendary stories. The guy 600 to 700 million books sold later, he's a legend. You know, there's another story about, uh, just giving it one more shot. Now, I'm sure the story is in sports and entertainment you could probably think of, but I know we have the theory of, like, how do you know when someone's really dead? What if he gave one more chest compression? Like, really, you never know when to give up. I call that the Bob Ross theory. It's like, Bob Ross, you'd be like, oh, it's done. Don't stop it. And then he gets... Like, how do you know when he's really done?

Because every time I thought he was done, he carried on with happy little trees and little

cabins. I'm like, no! And it always came out better. Dude, it's snow on the trees. I was perfect. No. I see what you're doing, Bob Ross.
