Here's something that the Fox Sports Radio Nation might not know.

Where we get ready every day for the show, we have a little pre-show meeting and we go

through ideas.

We sit at the table by the kitchen over there and our building is connected to a yoga studio.

So you see all these hot yoga butts walking in and out past our little lunch spot.

And Rich Davis can't even focus on what we're talking about because all he's doing is staring.

You think I picked that spot by accident?

Yeah, but anyway, I bet you nobody knew that we were right next door to a yoga studio. I'm a scoreboard watcher. I'm a standings watcher. It's too much. You're a treks watcher. Like my buddies make fun of me because I'll be rooting against the Padres now.

And they're like, dude, there's a month and a half, two months left of baseball.

And I'm like, I know, but I, you know, I'm looking at the wild card. But Danny, as much as I look at the standings, if you would have asked me this morning. And again, I watch baseball every day. I would never have guessed that you guys are down to a two and a half game lead in the National League West.

You haven't been paying attention to all the injuries.

I know I haven't, but I thought while the Diamondbacks and the Padres have both been scorching hot,

I'm pretty sure the Padres have won 16 of their last 18 games.

I still thought in my big old noggin that one of the Dod got, like a five or six game lead? Two and a half? You know what it is? Holy crap. Let's be real about baseball. Unlike football, baseball fans pretty much stick to their team. You're not really focused on the other teams. You'll see the highlights here and there. Oh, Tani went yard again. It's ultra regional. Yeah, absolutely. Like, I watch baseball every night. I'm watching the Yankees. You think I give a dittily squad about what the Padres are doing? I can watch. Or the Diamondbacks? I can watch the two worst NFL teams and be so engaged. But if you have a general idea, the point is, Rich didn't know that this gap closed that hard that fast. I knew it was closing, but again, you're not, are you really watching a Pirates Twins game on a Wednesday night? Most fans are zoned in on their teams, unlike football where you've got a pretty great understanding of all teams. So I've been analyzing the wild card every day as a Mets fan, like a nerd. I'm like, ooh, half a game out. No, now we're half a game up. Oh, we're a game behind. We're a game up. We're the two seed in the wild card. All along, I'm watching the Padres and the Diamondbacks every day. I'm like, one again. the Diamondbacks yesterday swept the Guardians, the best team at that time in the American League.

This morning, I was like, oh, five, four pirates in the ninth inning. Oh, ride. And then I'm looking at my phone. I'm like, oh, the runner on first, the runner on second.
