Summary

Dan Beyer & Monse Bolanos are in for C&R & talk the disrespect to the Running Back position in the NFL! What will have to happen for it to change? Monse thinks she wouldn't have flipped her bat in the 7th like Ohtani did last night.. the crew disagrees. They have a great topic about teams that are in the "friend zone." Callers from around the country weigh-in & Danny G. has a Tyson Tuesday twist for the show: NFL Running Back Trivia! Will a C&R NERF Football cross the Goal Line?

When you see in the NFL and running backs, the difference between the top running back in the

0:29.3

National Football League and the 40th best running back in the National Football League,

0:33.8

there isn't that gap. And I would argue that with every other position that you've got in the

0:39.4

National Football League, there is a sizable gap. I think that there are 20 good quarterbacks

0:44.6

in the league. Not 32. I think there are about 20. So if you go from 1 to 40 on the quarterback

0:49.3

position, we're talking about second string guys. We're talking about number two wide receivers.

0:54.0

My whole issue with the running back position is that everybody's just kind of the same. And the one unicorn that we had was Derek Henry. Yeah. Who wasn't even a multifaceted back. He was a guy who was just going to run over you and stiff arm you and shove you into the ground. And the Titans felt that it was worthy enough to give him an extension and keep him in Tennessee for as long as they did. They didn't move off of him like maybe some of these others were and that's because you can't find another Derek Henry and for his greatest Sequin Barclay is and as great as Saquan Eckler is and Tony Pollard is you are more likely to find another one of those than you are any other position in the National Football League. Yeah, you make an excellent point. It doesn't

1:31.0

help that the Chiefs won the Super Bowl with, what, a seventh round running back?

1:35.2

Yes. And it's like, I get it. Best quarterback, you could argue, best tight end. I understand

1:39.7

that. But that just goes to show that you can do it without Derek Henry.

1:45.4

You know, and that's a big part of it.

1:47.5

I think age is a big part of it to you're just, you have a shorter lifespan.

1:52.8

This is, yeah, this is, this is, so we've got, so we've got, we've got depth of the position is number one.

1:58.8

Yep, that's good.

2:00.0

Age.

2:00.7

Age, I think, is a really big one.

2:03.3

And so it's hard to want to put all your, you know, eggs in one basket on Sequin

2:09.6

Barkley.
