There's a scene in Austin Powers that tells you everything that you need to know about human behavior.

The scene is when number two goes to Dr. Evil and tells him how to use their new time machine in order to make trillions of dollars.

Number two says,

Dr. Evil, why don't we use this time machine

to be able to invest in the stock market?

We could make trillions of dollars

if we know exactly what companies are going to go up.

But instead, Dr. Evil decides to use nuclear weapons

to hold the world hostage for what million dollars?

This scene tells you everything that you need to know about human behavior and why people don't get rich.

If you think about yourself 10 years ago and all the things that you wish that you had done,

all the things that you wish that you had invested in. You wish that you had bought Bitcoin, you

wish that you had bought Apple stock, or Ethereum, were S&P 500 index funds for goodness sake,

or started that business 10 years ago that you wish that you were doing right now, or just

gotten around different people, or married that person. If you think about all the things

that you wish that you

had done 10 years ago, you are probably not doing them now. And what I want to do in this lesson

is rewire that so that you actually start doing the things that 10 years from now, you will look

back and say, thank goodness, the 10 year younger version of myself did that thing because it made me rich in the future.

I was talking to somebody at my house. I hold workshops at my home every once in a while,

and somebody asked me, what advice do you wish you could give the version of you that was 10 years younger?
