| 0:00.0 | Welcome to the Dr. Berg's Healthy Keto and Interminute Fasting podcast, where Dr. Berg takes you on the journey for the truth about getting healthy and losing healthy weight. |
| 0:16.0 | So let's talk about wrinkles. |
| 0:23.6 | So many people are applying all sorts of anti-aging creams, |
| 0:29.6 | lotions, cleansers, to rub off all the dead skin, |
| 0:33.6 | to hopefully have this new skin be replenished. |
| 0:36.6 | But let's first dive into exactly |
| 0:38.4 | what happens as you age in relationship to what happens with your skin. So number one, you have |
| 0:44.1 | a loss of elastin fibers. Alastin is a protein that helps to keep the tone of the skin there. So, |

| 1:31.4 | from the diet. A couple little side things you need to know about vitamin C. Smoking blocks the |
| 1:36.2 | absorption of vitamin C. Consuming sugar will block your ability to absorb vitamin C. As you age, |
| 1:42.3 | you have less retention of moisture. So the skin tends to dry out. |
| 1:47.2 | And so this is not necessarily just a matter of drinking more water. Just the skin itself has |
| 1:52.5 | less ability to retain that water. All right. And number six, less able to repair. And there's a lot we can do about this as far as slowing |
| 2:03.0 | down the process of repair and regenerate. Because you need certain nutrients to help that repair action. |
| 2:08.9 | And also you have the too much damage from sun, right? Take a look at any farmer that's out in the |
