Hello, everybody. Welcome back to another episode of Decoding the Unknown. I want to do

something a little bit different today. I read the comments below these videos. And I know

little bit of a problem with me spoiling the suspense because I just literally cannot help myself

when I say, it's not aliens, it's not aliens. People say, Simon, Simon, just believe it,

and then criticise it later. So, that is what we're going to be doing today. I am going to tell the

story and then afterwards I have what I call case files, which is where we look into the story and essentially

decode it. So, we will start with the unknown, which I will read to you, and then we will

decode the unknown with these case files. Today, we have five individual stories, so I'm going to

read them, and then at the end of each one, as they get more complicated

and more weird, I am going to attempt to debunk them along with Ilsa, who wrote today's

experimental video. And with that, let's jump in.

It was a dark night in 1944.

The war was slowly drawing to a close and things weren't looking too good for Germany. However, for the crew of a Bristol bow fighter, this night was no difference than any other, as they took off from Dijon in France on what should have been just another routine mission.

As part of the 415th Night Fighter Squadron, their mission was to find and ideally destroyed targets of opportunity, like supply trains, military convoys, communication centers and barracks.

The aircraft was flying along the Rhine, north of

Strasbourg, when their routine missions suddenly went in a whole new direction. Sitting in
