off with a fun little story but also want to talk about sort of i mean mean, it's the end of week 14. We wrapped up

the regular season. We've been talking about this as a weird year for most of the year,

very healthy year. A lot of people scored a lot of points in their leagues. I mean,

like a lot of teams scored. All the players stayed healthy. I had a subscriber reach

out and he just barely missed the playoffs and kind of want to talk through some of those things.

And I was kind of thinking about his team and he had some of the hits and he was excited about

some of the players, you know, got on some of fun late round running backs like a Bucky Irving and

Tyrone Tracy and had some other good hits, was kind ofing they didn't get on to like brock bowers but he barely missed the playoffs and one of the things i said back to him was like well part of it is like this structure i think really would have worked and this team could have really worked in a lot of other seasons but in this year the teams that that outscored you just stayed really healthy and they outscored you you know It's just one of those things where sometimes the other teams beat you. We have some really fun team, Sean, where we finished like third and didn't advance in some of the basketball stuff. I'm looking at the teams ahead of us. And it's like, well, yeah, I mean, there's two really good teams here. Like, we were just talking about one, the number one team was a Barclay Chase start and it's like okay well that team had a really

good team and so there's only two teams out of 12 advancing out of your draft and you finish third

and you have a really good team as well but there are a lot of other good teams and so I think that

is something that you know we'll unpack a lot of that stuff that is something that, you know, we'll unpack a lot of that stuff. That is something that I just wanted to start a sort of a headline that I do think some people are missing in terms of like feeling like they didn't do well enough or trying to self analyze or like where they failed or where they came up short. The margins were a little thinner this year. Like I know my best ball portfolio. My advance rates a little bit below average. I also had Rishi Rice and Stefan Diggs as two of my highest roster players, as well as some structural issues and some other concerns. But I mean, when you get hit by two of the bigger injuries, a lot of those teams are going to struggle. You're not going to finish top two in advance in your best ball leagues with key injuries this year.

There's going to be other healthy teams among the other 11 when you look at the way

this year played out.

There's a lot of things like that to analyze about 2024, what it all meant.
