If you want to attract more birds to your garden, well, this is the episode for you.

I know we've talked to David about how just simply cultivating a native forward and

And I'm sort of curious, is it true much like many other things that what we think is

Well, I'm happy to report that in most cases having a bird feeder is there's nothing

wrong with that.

So let's just get that right out of the way.

But before we go into the dos and the don'ts of putting out an actual bird feeder, I want

to start by saying something that might be surprising given that we're talking about

bird feeders and that is the best way to feed birds is not with a feeder.

The best way to feed birds is the way that mother nature feeds birds and that starts with

plants, specifically native plants.

And I'm sure this probably isn't the surprise to anybody who's been listening all week,

but that's really the core of what garden for wildlife is all about.

It's about getting folks to plant more natives with plant more ecologically connected garden

spaces because birds are eating, they're eating the natural foods that the native plants

are providing, which include seeds, berries, nuts, the seeds within cones, but also things

like nectar, you know, hummingbirds and orals are feeding on nectar.
