2021 anime season. We're going to be talking about the best and the worst that this season has to offer. Spoiler alert. There's not a lot of great stuff, but you know, we'll get into it. Joining me today along with my boy Briggs, Briggs. What's going on? What are boys? We have Jojo talks too much back in the house. Hello, everybody. How's it going? And I have an anime Recon our boy. Your boy Recon aka demon lord havoc. Yes, Recon. A fan favorite for some.

And a nightmare for many. For many. Correct. And nox is off today. He had some other stuff to do, but the four of us here are going to dive into the summer 2021 anime season. All right, boys, who wants to get started?

Well, I just want to say real quick, like me and Anna Mac don't really watch a lot of seasonal anime, which is why we brought in Jojo and Recon who watched quite a bit of seasonal anime. They kind of guide us through what to watch and what to avoid.

And we're going to start off with summer 2021. Yeah. So basically, I've just been, you know, watching and reading the series that I cover on the anime for channel and just like watching some older stuff. I finally started to IQ.

I've been rewatching like Jojos. So that's what we've been doing. However, Jojo and Recon watch seasonal anime for a living. They are YouTubers who cover seasonal anime. Check them out on YouTube. And they, you know, they do this thing. They know what they're doing. So we brought them in and we'll be talking about, you know, the seasonal stuff today.

And for better work, they're doing the hard work for us, man, because I used to watch seasonal anime and it was painful. The amount of this generic garbage that airs every season.

And it's like, let's say 50 anime air, which is like even more than 50 air. They'll be like four that are actually watchable.

I sometimes have to go through the generic.

I think you guys are putting in the work.

It's not the content, man. I got to watch the bad shows.

Alright, anything that's like a diamond in the rough or something so terrible that you need to bring up Jojo.

Immediate, in my opinion, possible contender for a best show of the season, although the season that is not saying much, but I do think it might be a sequel of the year for me is my next life as a villainess X. This is part two.

This is an anime that me and Adam act dropped.

Oh, is it? Oh, okay.

I watched the first season, but I didn't like it. So it's fair.

This is very much like an acquired taste. It is a series. If anybody doesn't know about a, it's an isekai series because, of course, it is fun fact.

I think there are seven different isekai shows this season. Wow. I know.

No, bro. I remember it's not even a joke. I remember when we had like three isekai.

In one season, we would be, yo, this is a lot of isekai.

Yeah, now there's about seven.

But this one is about a girl. She is killed. She gets reincarnated into her favorite Otamae game.
