I'm going to start us off. We're going sort of in reverse order in our top 10s. We're not able to play

Even though we're only a week into July and we have a lot of 2022 to come, these are the

albums we're loving so far at this point. Who knows where these records are going to end up

at the end of the year, but for now, this is the stuff that's really moving us.

I wanted to shout out to the smile, as my number seven record so far, a light for attracting

attention. Who are the smile? Well, you probably have heard of most of these guys.

They're in the band Radiohead and Tom York, Johnny Greenwood. Interestingly enough,

the members of Radiohead have all done their various solo projects outside of the Radiohead

umbrella, but this is the first time that York and Greenwood have worked together outside

of the context of Radiohead. They've also brought in Nigel Godrich as the producer,

who does all the Radiohead albums. In essence, we're seeing the core of the Radiohead team

working on this record. The wildcard is the drummer, Skinner, who's in many fine bands in the UK,

most notably, Sons of Comet, one of those groundbreaking jazz ensembles in that country,

and they've also brought in the London contemporary orchestra, just for a little sweetening.

It really is a wonderful record from that standpoint, the combination of sounds.

If this record had come out as the radio, as the sequel to Amon's Shape Pool, the last Radiohead

record in 2016, everybody was like, yeah, cool. It sounds like Radiohead. It's been a long time
