Summary

Another Super Tuesday is behind us! Bernie Sanders makes it clear he intends to stay in the race — for now. What does this mean for the upcoming head-to-head debate in Arizona? What message does Biden need to send to Sanders’ supporters in order to gain their support? Axe and Murphy dive into the data from last night's contests to see what, if anything, the turnout may portend for the general election. Plus, the Hacks talk politics of the Coronavirus. We also take listeners' questions on the newfangled wave of support for Joe Biden and why some candidates seem more "likable" when they drop out of the race. Tune in! coordinating Joe Biden. What a what a day it is but I don't think Bernie got the memo.

0:34.2

What's your take? You know I think Bernie got the memo but I think he's reading it

0:39.0

slowly for the benefit of his of his followers. He just a little while ago really

0:47.0

gave a statement. It wasn't a press conference. He didn't tell him. He didn't take questions.

0:51.0

It was telling actually last night when Bernie Sanders didn't come out and address reporters

as he normally would after the results. Clearly they were examining the rubble that was

is no path forward but I think he is trying to figure out how to land the plane and what

1:14.8

was really interesting about his statement was what it didn't contain it. It didn't contain

1:20.8

any personal attacks on Joe Biden who he referred to as his friend. It did reaffirm his

1:27.5

commitment to do whatever he needed to to help defeat Donald Trump. He said he's going

1:32.3

to the debate on Sunday and he threw out a bunch of questions that he wanted to ask Joe

1:36.8

Biden as if to say I am throwing you the crypt sheet. I'm tipping you to the questions

1:43.1

and just come with some answers. Really what he was saying is help me help you bring

1:48.6

along my followers who are in this for reasons. Reasons about their sense of urgency, climate,

1:58.8

on inequality, on social justice issues, on the cost of education, on the cost of health

2:05.5

care. I actually think that's an important admonition, Mike, to Biden because as we'll

2:11.6

discuss the one thing that he has not shown, he's shown a lot of strengths here, he should

2:16.9

show a lot of strengths yesterday, hasn't shown the ability to attract young people and

2:22.1

that's going to be important in what may be marginal races in some of these battleground
