Last episode we covered what can be called Khrushchev's coming out party where he begins to make

his mark on the foreign stage.

His grab for power is now complete after the removal of his last potential threat,

Marshall Georgie Jukoff, and he is now the deciding factor in all policy matters within the

USSR.

I also misspoke last week when I said we'd cover the Cuban Missile Crisis

this podcast. That should come next week. But before we move on, I'd like to make an appeal to my loyal listeners.

As we're nearing episode number 100 of this podcast, which is way beyond what I ever dreamed of.

War, like the Russian Civil War in more detail.
