We're going to be talking about some transfers, Elliot Anderson in particular, getting some thoughts on United's midfield where we can improve. Let's start by talking about Amram.

So James Pearce, who works for The Athletic, has got a new book,

talking about sort of slots, Liverpool.

Obviously, they've won a league.

People want to talk about it.

The thing that is interesting to us is some of the stuff about Ruben Amram when Liverpool were looking at which managers to bring in. So there's a couple of excerpts that have kind of done the rounds a little bit. There's a few bits I want to get into and talk about Amram and whether those things we think were considered at United and whether it gives us any cause for concern at Man United about some of the things that they thought about. So Alonzo was one of the names that was mentioned. After he publicly ruled himself out of contention, the name most persistently linked with Liverpool in the media was sporting Lisbon coach Amarim, who was about to clinch his second Premier League title with Portuguese Giants. Amiram was a serious contender and had boasted the best record in terms of player availability, i.e. not getting injured. However, that was partly attributed to him working in a less intense league. There was plenty to admire, but Edwards and Hughes had doubts, and these are the things that, you know, do we think United consider this? There was doubts that his preference for a three-man defense would suit

the squad that he would be inheriting. There was also concerns that his slower, less
