Welcome to part two of three of our finance mini series. When we originally recorded this,

we actually recorded parts two and three first and together. So I split those up. And so I'm just

coming right in here to bridge the gap between episode one and two and to say hello and welcome.

Get ready to talk all about our separate finances in marriage. I just think that

maybe because of my husband's word he does in business and then what we do as far as our

marriage finances, the fact that they're primarily separate. I feel like intrigues a lot of people.

People always really like to hear a lot of the finance talk from grant, even just I think from like a family standpoint, a marriage standpoint. And then we're also going to tie it in biblically because that was where a lot of the questions went. So this is something that's going to be broken down kind of into a mini series. So what we're going to do is start with kind of where Grant and I both

were financially when we came into our marriage, even like the differences in our upbringing. So then

we're entering into marriage because basically the way that we're set up now six and a half years

into our marriage has been like that since day one. And so we'll kind of go over the evolution of what that looks like over the last six and a half years into our marriage has been like that since day one. And so we'll kind of go

primarily being separate in all of our finances actually look like as far as like monthly bills,

who covers what, answering all those questions. Then I think we kind of start to tie it more into biblically,

like what does the Bible say about money and marriage? And so how does our perspective,

you know, tie in biblically or does it even align at all? And I also want to kind of like say

at the beginning of this podcast that by no means is the things that we are saying, do we feel that everyone should do this by any means?

I just know, for instance, Dave Ramsey is so much, you know, respected in terms of like finance and budgeting, which I love and respect him in a lot of ways too.
