the middle of my second week teaching on the believer's authority, and actually I'm teaching this

in conjunction with the previous teaching

that I did about the true nature of God. And I consider these two things about what is God

really like? You know, there's so much wrath and harshness and punishment in the Old Testament.

In the New Testament we see a grace and a mercy, but it leaves people

thinking, is God schizophrenic? And so I spent weeks teaching about what the true nature of God is.

1 John chapter 4, verse 8 and 16, says God is love. And then after we establish this, if you understand the authority of the believer, this is why God

doesn't just step in and intervene and just solve all the problems in your life.

He gave you authority. He gave originally authority to Adam and Eve to mankind, and mankind turned this authority over to the devil,

and Satan has been using our own God-given power and authority against us.

And I've spent a lot of time the last week and a half talking about how all of this sets up.

But God limited his sovereignty by giving us

authority. He will not overstep the authority that he's given us. It's a covenant to God. He

won't change it. And so we have to learn what has God done? What do we have authority over? And then we have to go out and use

the power and the authority that God has given us instead of coming to God as a beggar as saying

that God we have nothing, we can do nothing, but I know that you can do all things, and then we just

beg him and then wait to see what he's going to do. God has already done everything he's going
