Welcome to our Monday's broadcast of the Gospel Truth.

Today is the beginning of my second week teaching on the authority of the believer or I think the book is entitled The Believers Authority.

And I have this book. I wrote this like 25 years ago. This is something that has been a foundational part of my life.

I have this not only in English but in Spanish. We have study guides. We have DVDs, CDs and USBs where you can get the audio and the video.

Last week I was kind of laying a foundation for what I really want to get into this week. I'm going to be saying something that I've never heard another person teach on.

That doesn't mean that I think I'm the only one that ever teaches on this. I've just not heard it. Or maybe it's just the way that I'm phrasing it.

I've never heard anybody phrase it this way. But I'm going to be sharing some things with you about Satan and where he got his power from.

So what I did last week was just basically established that we are in a spiritual war that is not just physical.

There's demonic things going on behind the scenes. And we have to exercise our spiritual authority against the devil to see victory in this life.

And I spent a lot of time establishing that when God created the heavens and the earth, He spoke and released that power.

Now that is really significant. And one of the things I made a big point of is that we just, well some people just lie.

Other people, if they say something and it turns out that they don't like the consequences of it, they'll just change.

But you know what it says in Psalm 154, that a godly man will swear to his own hurt and not change.

If you are a godly person, you are bound by your words. And one of the points that I was making is that it says in Hebrews 6, 18, God cannot lie.

Hebrews 1, 3, he upholds all things by the word of his power. God's word is what holds this universe together.

And if he was to lie, the whole universe would just self-destruct. It couldn't exist. His word cannot be broken. He will not lie.

So when God said you have dominion over this earth and you rule and you subdue it, Psalms 82, 6, he said you are gods, not capital G, not divine, but you are absolute authority and control over this earth.

When God said that, he bound himself. He would be unjust to come down here and intervene in our life when we give power and authority to the devil and we yield to him.
